In Progress: Contemporary Mediterranean Garden, Forest Hill
Relaxed low level planting of herbs and ground covering plants will set the mood for the garden on the approach. A bench will be the focal point at the end of the walkway out of solid timber to match other elements of the garden.
Areas of paving are interspersed with ground cover planting giving the opportunity to have low level plants scattered beyond the main planting space, blurring the boundaries and adding interest whilst removing the hard feel of paved areas and maximising greenery without compromising on space.
Lighting to wash across the stepping stones, highlight the tree and selected features as well as a pendant light above the table will transform the garden after dark and extend its use into the evening.
